Helen Kraak – Family Doctor

Helen Kraak, is a general practitioner from the Netherlands with over 10 years experience as a doctor and 5 years specialised in Family Medicine. She studied medicine in Utrecht and is absolutely passionate about her work.

At Maresme Family Medicine Helen offers comprehensive medical care for patients of all ages, from children to the elderly. She can provide additional diagnostic tests and is also trained in performing minor surgeries, local corticosteroid injections and IUD insertions. By offering home visits in the Maresme area and video calls, you do not have to leave your house to receive medical care. And being fluent in Dutch, English, and Spanish Helen can provide healthcare in your own language.

As a GP she understands that healthcare issues are personal and can be sensitive. At Maresme Family Medicine Helen’s focus is on customised care. She believes that every patient is unique and deserves a tailored approach to their needs. That’s why she takes the time to get to know her patients, to really understand them, and work together to find the best solutions for their health and well-being.

In 2022 I made the leap to the beautiful Maresme coast of Spain with my family. As a GP and as a mother of two young children, I understand the importance of accessible and convenient healthcare. I know that the healthcare system can be a bit daunting in a new country, especially if you don’t speak the language, and that’s why I started Maresme Family Medicine.
