A gastronomic experience in a converted textile factory

Threads Restaurant

Vilassar de Dalt

Threads Restaurant in Vilassar de Dalt has one goal: Take the best of the region’s ingredients and turn them into the best culinary experience possible, inspired by cuisines around the world. They draw heavily on classical French cooking and fresh Nordic flavours, but enjoy inspiration from cuisines from much further afield when they are the best way to highlight the ingredients they are using.

Threads offers two tasting menus, each a culinary journey over 10 or 12 courses, as well as a traditional à la carte menu with a curated set of flavours that still allow them to highlight the wonderful ingredients of the region. Each dish is lovingly made from scratch by Executive Chef and Co-Owner Bouchra Assarar, from their home-made bread and butter selection, to their succulent duck leg confit or prawns in slow marinated tomato water.

Threads is based in an old textile factory (hence the name) in Vilassar de Dalt, which was the first steam-powered textile plant in the town. It is part of the rich history of the town’s place in the textile industry, which continues to this day in the González Lladó textile plant just behind Threads, where premium textiles are still produced. Their restoration of the site focused on highlighting the traditional vaulted ceilings and 19th-century red industrial flooring whilst creating a cosy, relaxing space to enjoy a meal that will truly take you on a journey.

With a quiet main dining room and fully stocked bar, a relaxing terrace and separate smoking area, a 15-car private parking area and a team of polyglot foodies to look after you, they aim to provide everything you need for a truly special experience.

We take the best of the Maresme’s ingredients to create an international culinary experience.

What people are saying about Threads
All I can say is that it was a Michelin star level gastronomic experience. Excellent raw material and culinary gold standards. Excellent friendly service. It was even better than expected, we were very happy. I hope to return very soon.

We went to try Threads in Vilassar de Dalt, a restaurant set in a former thread factory with a private car park. They have two options to choose from, the tasting menu or an à la carte menu. We opted for the Seda tasting menu, which included 8 dishes and two desserts. Everything was delicious, but we especially loved the paquet de vadella rostit i farcit de tartar, the pollastre de caçador amb patata millfulles and for dessert the spectacular llimona deconstruïda i reconstruïda, an outstanding ending. We accompanied everything with a good cava. The service was impeccable and very pleasant. We will be back!

The experience at this restaurant was nothing short of exceptional. From the moment we walked through the door, the friendly owners made us feel at home with their warm welcome. The chef has designed a step-by-step dining experience that is a sublime journey through unique flavours, textures and aromas. I highly recommend Threads for those looking for a fine dining option in the area.
