Informal, creative painting sessions with a professional artist in Maresme
Looking for an art class in Maresme? Local artist Charlotte MacDonald has always been passionate about painting, and art in general. Originally from the Highlands of Scotland, when finishing her Psychology degree in Glasgow, Charlotte chose to bring two of her favourite concepts together and completed her dissertation on Art-Therapy; focusing on the benefits of art as therapy.
Charlotte then joined a local group of artists in Cabrils back in 2005 so that she could keep her passion alive – at least as a hobby!
In 2024, Charlotte began to offer sessions of Sip n´Paint, where in an informal setting, the participants can enjoy a glass of wine, some tasty nibbles, and have the chance and space to discover and delve deep into their creative sides.
In her Sip n´Paint sessions, Charlotte provides all materials as well as inspirational pieces – every session based on a different theme. The inspiration Charlotte brings is just a suggestion, but everyone can paint or draw whatever tickles their fancy in that moment. The sessions offer a mindful break from daily life, and a lovely way to connect with others in a relaxed space while creating something from scratch. Also included in the price are drinks and snacks.
These unhurried sessions are typically held weekly on either Saturday or Sunday afternoons at No 20 in Vilassar de Mar. Charlotte can also organise a private session or party at your own home.
We don’t often have a chance to switch-off these days, and with these sessions people have been very grateful to have an excuse to step out of the chaos for a couple of hours and focus on producing a work of art they are always proud of. The most important thing is to enjoy the process, and not only focus on the final product!
