Literally every town and village in Maresme has their own king’s parade.
Dia de Reyes, also called Epiphany, is celebrated on January 6th and marks the culmination of the Christmas season in Spain. On the evening of 5th, it is customary for a grand parade (“Cavalcada de Reis”) to take place across Catalonia (and Spain). The parade features the Three Wise Men who ride through the streets on elaborately decorated floats, and they often throw sweets and small gifts to the crowds. The event is a festive and family-oriented celebration, and many people attend the parade to participate in the festivities.
The next day is spent with family, normally over a large lunchtime meal.
Check out the town hall website of each village for times and locations of the parade.
