Les Santes, Mataro

Les Santes is Mataró’s biggest and most beloved festival, held every July in honour of the city’s patron saints, Santa Juliana and Santa Semproniana. Over several days, the streets come alive with a colourful mix of parades, fireworks, live music, traditional Catalan dances, and the iconic “correfoc” (fire run). It’s a joyful explosion of local culture, deeply rooted in tradition but full of energy and fun for all ages — a true highlight of the Catalan summer.
