Fascurt – 23rd Masnou Short Film Festival

The kick-off of this edition will be the screening of the film El Circ, with a soundtrack created for the occasion, by The Woody’s, at the Cinema La Calàndria.

There will be Fascurt Kids, a series of free workshops for the little ones to take their first steps into the world of cinema. Throughout the festival, a total of around 40 shorts will be screened, of which 28 will enter competition, 11 in the fiction category, 7 in the animation category and 10 in the undercut.

Of the competitive sections, where new directors will predominate, we highlight the participation of two directors who, despite being established, have never left the world of short films aside; namely, Daniel Sánchez Arévalo with Pipiolos and Javier Fesser with Depredador. It is also worth noting the familiar faces who will play the protagonists of many of these short films, such as Ramón Barea, Francesc Orella, Tristán Ulloa, Nausicaa Bonnín, Enric Auquer, Pedro Casablanc and Marta Etura, to name a few. Also small cameos such as J.A. Bayona, Bárbara Lennie, Albert Serra, Miguel Herrán and Karla Sofía Gascón.

Thanks to the synergies established with friendly festivals, such as Fantosfreak in Cerdanyola and Cryptshow in Badalona, ​​we will have a Night of Terror with international shorts, which will make you shiver with fear.

We will also have up to three Masnou shorts, two of them in the Masnou shorts section on Saturday and on Thursday the festival will open in the fiction section, the new short by Estefanía Ortiz, Demà.
