Cara Montaña

Cara Montaña is a private studio to rent in Vilassar de Mar with tranquil mountain views and beach access, just 30 minutes from the centre of Barcelona. The cosy yet bright studio has an independent entrance and a private well-equipped terrace, perfect for barbecues.

Run by two journalists Mariana and Pere, who live in the house below and are on hand for anything their guests might need. You may see their daughter Lulu and dog Vela pop up around the place too. 

The Space

This charming studio room is located one minute from the beach in Vilassar de Mar. Conceived as a “tiny house” with a mezzanine bed, the space is decorated in a chic nautical style inspired by local sailors’ houses. There is a private bathroom and an additional sofa bed for guests.

Guest Access

The property shares a front door with the main house, but the studio room has an independent entrance and its’ own terrace. Owner Mariana and her husband Pere love to meet new people and cultures from around the world and they often welcome their guests for coffee at home. 

Other Things To Note

The main entrance of the property is currently under renovation, but beyond that the studio is lovely. 

As of November 2023, there are ongoing water restrictions that mean the hot tub wine barrel can’t be used. The local drought situation is regularly reviewed so this is subject to change. 

The owners also have a second holiday rental within the same property, Cara Mar.
