This pretty little stretch of sandy beach is backed by a pleasant seafront promenade and is easy to reach on foot for those staying in the town and by train for those coming in from Barcelona, Mataró or the Costa Brava.
The exclusive chiringuito (beach bar), El Espigó, is situated on the beach directly in front of the train station. The beauty of this beach bar, the chill out music playing softly in the background and its proximity to the water’s edge, are really what make this beach so special – not to mention the excellent food that is served both during the day and at night.
The attractive Port Balís is located just a stone’s throw away and makes for a pleasant stroll and is ideal for a seafood lunch when you have had enough of the beach.
Get there early as it can get busy in the summer months. Parking can also be challenging especially in July.
