The Parc de la Serralada Litoral is large Natural Park connecting the Vallès Oriental and the Maresme, with a topography of smooth ridges dipping gently down to the fishing towns and ports along the coast. One of the most rewarding hikes is up Burriac Castle which is well signposted as you drive into Cabrils. It is located just over 400m above sea level and is easily visible from the coast and dominates the landscape as you look up into the Maresme hills.
There are a few places to park along the dusty track as you head out of the village but if you continue upwards you will find a car park.
There is a great bar and BBQ at the foot of the castle, ideal for a well deserved beer after the hike, which takes around 1.5 hours in total.
